Yael Averbuch

Yael Friedman Averbuch ( born November 3, 1986 in New York City, New York) is an American soccer player who plays for the Washington NWSL participants Spirit since the 2014 season.

Career

Averbuch played already during their school time for the short-lived W-League franchise the New Jersey Lady Stallions, before she ran aground while studying at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for the local university team the North Carolina Tar Heels. During college drafts for the 2009 season of the WPS she was engaged by the Franchise of Sky Blue FC in the first round at position four and went on to win their first pro season, the final game of the WPS Championship against Los Angeles Sol. For the 2011 season they moved to the league rivals Western New York Flash, where she was also able to win the championship.

After brief side trips to the New Jersey Wildcats and the FK Rossijanka in Russia, she signed a valid contract for the 2012 season in the Swedish first division Kopparbergs / Göteborg FC. The 2012 season concluded from Gothenburg than in fourth, but won the final of the Svenska Cupen against Tyresö FF 2-1 after extra time. In the so-called Player Allocation for the 2014 season, she was assigned to the NWSL franchise Washington Spirit.

National

Averbuch went through all U.S. junior national teams. With the U-19, she participated in the 2004 World Series and won the bronze medal there. In January 2007, it was first used in the context of the Four Nations Tournament in China in the senior team in the U.S..
