Yakov Chernikhov

Yakov Georgijewitsch Tschernichow (Russian Яков Георгиевич Чернихов, * 5 Dezemberjul / December 17 1889greg in Pawlohrad, Ukraine, .. † May 9, 1951 in Moscow ) was an architect and designer of Russian Constructivism.

Life

Tschernichow was known primarily as a theorist and university professor. During the Stalinism he moved like many of his colleagues on the functionalist formal language, but realized any more projects. Private Tschernichow also worked as a painter.
