History

From the single-seat aerobatic aircraft Yak- 50, the two-seat Yak- 52 emerged as a trainer for the basic course. A major difference to the tail wheel equipped with Yak- 50 was the tricycle landing gear with a towed nose wheel. After development in the Soviet Union, the series production of the company Intrepinderea de Avioane Bacau was transferred to Romania (since 1991 Aerostar SA).
