The Yakushima Airport (Japanese屋 久 岛 空港, Yakushima- Kuko ) is a small commercial airport in the city on the eponymous island of Yakushima in Japan, Kagoshima Prefecture. The airport is located about 13 kilometers east from the city center Yakushima on the northeast coast of the island. From here, there are currently (2009) only domestic routes. The Yakushima Airport applies after the Japanese legislation as a third class airport.
