Yalıkavak

Yalikavak is a small coastal town on the peninsula of Bodrum in southwest Turkey. The municipality comprises the central site, as well as eight other districts or villages.
Location
Yalikavak is connected by a main road with the county town of Bodrum. The municipality is bordered to the west by the Aegean Sea. Neighboring municipalities are Gündoğan ( in the northeast ) and Gumusluk ( in the southeast ).
Population
In 2007 Yalikavak counted 8701 inhabitants. This has changed since 1990, the population more than doubled.
Economy
Today is the main industry of tourism. The town has a marina. On the surrounding slopes numerous summer cottages were built.
