Yamila Diaz-Rahi

Yamila Díaz- Rahi ( born March 9, 1976 in Buenos Aires, Argentina) is an Argentine model of Spanish descent.

Yamila Diaz was born as the daughter of a doctor and the director of a nursing home in Argentina. She has Lebanese and Spanish ancestors and two sisters named Maria and Yael.

She studied in Buenos Aires economy and had not planned model. She was discovered by an employee of a modeling agency in 1996 on a beach in Uruguay, when she made there with their families. Then she went to Milan, but had only relatively small initial success and worked for several years mainly for mail order catalogs. Only when she was photographed for Sports Illustrated Swimwear 1999, started her career as a model properly.

She was photographed for the magazine Marie Claire, Spanish and American Elle, the European edition of GQ, Max and shape. In 2000, she was photographed next to Estella Warren and Laetitia Casta for Sports Illustrated.
