Yamparáez

Yamparáez is a village in the department of Chuquisaca in the South American Andes State of Bolivia.

Geography

Yamparáez is located at a distance of 28 kilometers of road to the southeast of the department capital of Sucre.

The village is located on the 976 km long highway Ruta 6 connecting Sucre with the Bolivian lowlands and the local metropolis of Santa Cruz. The highway is paved by Yamparáez both west to Sucre and east to the 39 km distant Tarabuco, on the other way to the east it is unpaved.

Yamparáez is also connected via a single-track railway line with Sucre and Tarabuco, but this route is no longer in operation.
