New York Yankees (MLB ) (since 2009)

Yankee Stadium is the baseball stadium of the New York Yankees. It is south of the Bronx in New York City. It was opened on 3 April 2009 and replaced the old Yankee Stadium, which was demolished by May 13, 2010.

Architecture

The architecture leans very heavily on the old stadium, the façade is veneered in the old stadium with granite. The attached under the roof of the old stadium frieze of metal was used again and the new stadium. The interior of the stadium is full of photos that tell the history of the Yankees.

Financing

The stadium was largely financed by a loan of the city. The money is to be refinanced by high ticket prices ( behind home plate and up to $ 850,000 / season in a Loge $ 2,625 / game). Despite the high prices, the first 20 games were sold out before the season starts. With construction costs of approximately $ 1.5 billion Yankee Stadium is the most expensive sports venue in the world.
