Yao Defen

Yao Defen; Chinese:姚德芬, Yao Defen ( born July 15, 1972 in China, † November 13, 2012 in Shucha, Anhui, China) was a Chinese record holder size. While their size was specified in the Chinese media reports always with 2.36 meters, calls the Guinness Book of World Records 2.33 meters.

Life

Yao Defen was suffering from a tumor in her pituitary gland (pituitary gland ) which since childhood an abnormal growth in size has been triggered. At age eleven she already measured 1.85 m. At 15, she was great about two meters. As a teenager, she learned to play basketball. After she once was while unconscious, the doctors in studies established a brain tumor that triggered the overproduction of growth hormones. In 2006, Yao Defen, whose health was considered life-threatening, removed a tumor in Shanghai. In 2009 she retired from a fall serious head injuries and was bedridden since then.
