Yao Ximing
Yao Ximing (Chinese姚喜明, born August 15, 1956) is a former Chinese badminton player who competed for the United States later.
Career
Yao Ximing drew attention to himself, especially in team competitions in the first half of the 1980s. In Thomas Cup 1982 he was a regular player in the Chinese men's national team and wore, each with a semi-final victory against Denmark and in the final against Indonesia to winning the world title, which he always took in a double with Sun Zhian.
In 1979 he became world champion of the little important World Federation WBF double with Sun Zhian. At the World Championships the IBF 1985, she retired from the quarter-finals.
Yao Ximing later played for the USA and won the U.S. Open there. After his playing career, he worked there and in Canada as a coach.
