Yasa (also Bongwe, Lyaasa, Maasa and Yassa ) is a Bantu language and is spoken by about 2400 people in Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea and Gabon.

It is with about 1490 speakers in Cameroon in the district in the province of Sud Océan, with about 910 speakers in Equatorial Guinea in the province of Litoral and sporadically distributed in Gabon.

Classification

Yasa Ngumbi is a Northwest Bantu language, is next to the language Ngumbi to Yasa - group within the Bube - Benga - group that is classified as Guthrie Zone A30.

She has the dialects IYASA, Bweko, Vendo, Bodele, Marry, One, Asonga, Bomui, Mogana, Mooma and Mapanga.
