YaÅŸar Kurt

Yaşar Kurt ( born August 16, 1968 in Istanbul, Turkey) is a Turkish rock artist of Armenian descent.

Life

Kurt studied in 1990 at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Eskişehir and founded the Alternative music group Beyaz Yunus ( "White Dolphin "). In 1993 he had his first studio recording in Germany and in 1994 he released the album Sokak Şarkıları ( "Street Songs" ), recorded in Cologne. On the album on the Ada Müzik label followed by a series of concerts followed in Turkey. After moving to Berlin, his daughter Rosa was born. He returned in 1996 returned to Turkey to continue his music career.

Göndermeler ( " hints " ) was published in 1997 as an album on the label Aks Müzik Müzik and Boğaziçi. After one and a half years he published Reflex, which was produced by Ağdaş Müzik and contains nine songs from the 1990-2000 period and three cover versions.

In 2003 he published a scrapbook titled Anne under his own music label. In the same year he co-founded Barışarock, a rock event in Turkey. In 2004 he wrote the music for the TV series " Sevda Tepesi " on ATV.

He worked from 2007 together with the Turkish-Armenian artist Arto Tuncboyaciyan by (formed from his name and Artos ) he founded Yash -ar. After the return to his Armenian origin, he was baptized as Armenian Apostolic Christian and adopted the Armenian name Arşak.

In 2011 published the album Kurt Güneş Kokusu ( " Smell of the Sun" ).
