Yashlatz

Jaschlaz (Hebrew ישל"צ; acronym for Hebrew יְשִׁיבָה לצְעִירים; lit: Yeshiva for young people. ), Is a national- religious yeshiva Talmudic University in Jerusalem, Israel.

The Talmudic College was founded in 1964 by Rabbi Yaakov Filber. Filber was one of the students of Zvi Yehuda Kook, son of Abraham Isaac Kook. It was the world's one of the most respected religious schools. On March 6, 2008, five Jaschlaz students were shot dead in the massacre at the Merkas HaRaw Kook. The current head of the yeshiva is Rabbi Weiss Yerachamiel. Several prominent rabbis have taught in Jaschlaz, including the Rabbi David Samson and Rabbi Haim Steiner.

Students were the Talmudic rabbis Yitzhak Shapira of the university were, Rabbi Binyamin Ze'ev Kahane, Rabbi Eliezer Melamed, Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu and Colonel Dror Weinberg ( Yehuda Brigade Commander in the IDF ).
