Yasmin Warsame

Yasmin Warsame Abshir ( born May 5, 1976 in Mogadishu, Somalia) is a Canadian supermodel.

Life

At the age of fifteen, she moved to Toronto, where she studied at the University Seneca College psychology and social sciences. Warsame began her modeling career in 2000 when she became pregnant with her son, booked in the fifth month for a photo shoot that was intended for the catalog from Sears. At the time she worked two years as a fashion model, but her appearance was for the Canadian market as a very haute couture been added. In 2002 she went to Paris, where she was photographed by Steven Meisel for the Italian edition of Vogue.

She stands at NEXT Model Management and IMG Models under contract. Photos with her appeared in Elle, Vogue Italia, Amica and they ran in numerous fashion shows, among other things, Giorgio Armani, Christian Dior, Fendi, Jean Paul Gaultier, Gucci, Kenzo Takada, Karl Lagerfeld and Valentino. She has starred in highly doped Anzeigenkampganen Valentino, H & M, Dolce & Gabbana, Escada, Hermes, Chanel and Shiseido.

In addition, Warsame was recently a jury member in the second season of Canada 's Next Top Model.
