Ydre Municipality

The municipality (in Swedish kommun ) Ydre lies in the Swedish province of Östergötland County. Its main town, Österbymo. Other towns are Hestra, Rydsnäs, Sund, among others

Geography

The municipality Ydre lies on the northern edge of the southern Swedish highlands. The municipal area is rich in lakes and crossed by numerous small streams.

Economy

In the village there is an unusually high proportion of workers in the agriculture and forestry (~ 14%). Also in the secondary sector dominated the woodworking industry.
