Ye (ancient China)

Ye (Chinese邺/邺, Pinyin Yè ) or Yecheng (Chinese邺 城/邺 城, Pinyin Yecheng ) was a city of ancient China, which in today's circle Linz slope of the prefecture-level city of Handan in Hebei province, near the border with Anyang ( lay Henan) province. The strategically important city was the capital of the Eastern Wei Dynasty and the Northern Qi Dynasty, as well as numerous warlord at the end of the Han Dynasty, including Yuan Shao and Cao Cao.

Excavations in recent years have confirmed the details of Chinese historians to the layout of the city.

The site is since 1988 on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China ( 3-213 ).
