Yeji

Yeji is a village in the Volta Region of Ghana with about 5000 inhabitants.

Originally, the ancient settlement was further west, but had to be relocated as a result of the jammed by the Akosombo Dam Volta Lake due to the rising water. Today Yeji is one of the lake ports on Lake Volta and starting point for trading goods.
