Yekaterina Bikert

Yekaterina Eduardovna Bikert (Russian Екатерина Эдуардовна Бикерт; born May 13, 1980 in Katschkanar ) is a Russian athlete who specializes in the 400 - meter hurdles.

Bikert undercutting, 2001 in 57.61 seconds for the first time the 60 second barrier over the long haul hurdle. After two weak years, she improved her personal best in 2004 by almost four seconds and qualified for the Russian Olympic team. At the Olympic Games in Athens, she finished as the best Russian in 54.18 seconds in sixth place, after running 53.79 seconds in the semifinals. 2005, starting for the SK Luch from Yekaterinburg athlete as in 2004 went to the Athletics European Cup and finished as the 2004 second place.

2006 Bikert was not active, but returned in 2007 back to the runway; at the World Championships in Osaka she was disqualified in the semifinals. In 2008, she won her only Russian title in 54.34 seconds. At the Olympic Games in Beijing, she qualified in 54.38 seconds for the final, in which she was four years ago as the best Russian sixth in 54.96 seconds.

At a height of 1.77 meters Bikerts is competition weight 68 kg.
