Yekaterina Fesenko

Yekaterina Alexeyevna Fesenko (Russian Екатерина Алексеевна Фесенко, English transcription Yekaterina Fesenko, married Grun - Грунь, . Born August 10, 1958 in Krasnodar ) is a retired Russian hurdler who had specialized in the 400-meter distance and took for the Soviet Union.

In 1980 she became Soviet champion.

The European Athletics Championships 1982 in Athens, she was seventh in 55.86 s. In 1983 she won at the Universiade gold in the 400m hurdles and the 4 x 400 - meter relay. At the World Athletics Championships in Helsinki she won in 54.14 s 0.01 s ahead of her teammate Ana Ambrazienė who had set up in June of this year with 54.02 seconds the current world record.

After her marriage she won, starting under the name Grun, 1984 at the competitions of friendship silver.
