Yekaterina Smolentseva

Yekaterina Wjatscheslawowna Smolenzewa (Russian Екатерина Вячеславовна Смоленцева; born September 15, 1981 in Pervouralsk, Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player, the master player and captain of the Russian national team.

Career

Smolenzewa studied at the Pedagogical University in Yekaterinburg Ural. At club level occurs Smolenzewa since 2004 for Moskovskaya Oblast Tornado on, having previously played for Spartak Merkuri Yekaterinburg. With Yekaterinburg was in 2000, Champion of Russia and in the three subsequent years runner-up.

Internationally

Since 2002 she is a regular player of the Russian national team and participated with this three Olympic Hockey Tournament. The best result achieved the national team in 2002 with the fifth place.
