Yellow & Green is the third studio album by the American band Baroness. It was released in July 2012 to Relapse Records. It is a double album, the first part of Yellowstone, the second Green is named and which thus continues the color sequence of the two previous albums.
Formation and style
The album largely foregoes the shouting and the Sludge elements of previous albums and moves in various rock subgenres. The recorded as Blue Record with John Congleton album has catchy songs like Take Away My Bones as well as on bonds from the seventies or progressive elements. Singer John Baizley, who designed the cover himself again, said: " The anger has not disappeared, it only shows up in a different form. " For the first album by the band gained a higher chart positions in Germany 13th place
Reception
In Metal Hammer, the album was voted album of the month. Petra Schurer wrote the album count " visually and musically the best of what the Savannah band has ever created ." You missed seven of seven points.
