Yemelyan Yaroslavsky

Yemelyan Mikhailovich Yaroslavsky, written in the literature as Yemelian Jaroslavskij (Russian Емельян Михайлович Ярославский; * 19 Februarjul / March 3 1878greg in Chita, .. † December 4, 1943 in Moscow ) was a Soviet politician and journalist. He was named (Russian Общество безбожников ), also Union of militant atheists leader of the company of the wicked.

Life and work

Yaroslavsky, Jewish, under the name Minei Izrailevich Gubelman (Russian Миней Израилевич Губельман ) was born in Chita. In 1898, he joined the Social Democratic Party of Russia. In 1903, he led a strike of textile workers in Yaroslavl. Of this, he also has his name Yaroslavsky derived. He was a participant in the Russian Revolution 1905-1907. In 1907 he was arrested and sentenced to forced labor and exile. Since that time, Yaroslavsky lived as a professional revolutionary in exile until 1917.

Yemelyan Yaroslavsky was married to Klavdiia Kirsanowa. After the death Yaroslavsky his urn at the Kremlin wall in Moscow was buried.
