Yermakhan Ibraimov

Jermachan Ibraimow (Russian Ермахан Ибраимов; * January 1, 1972 at Zhambyl area ) is a retired Kazakh boxer.

Career

His first international championship contested Ibraimow at the 1995 World Championships where he at middleweight ( -75 kg ) starting in the first fight against Zsolt Erdei, Hungary ( 8:5 ), was eliminated. However, in the same year he won the light middleweight ( -71 kg ), the Military World Championships, including with a win over Markus Beyer, Germany, and the Asian Championships.

In 1996 Ibraimow for the Olympic Games in Atlanta and won after beating Nick Farrell, Canada ( 15:9 ), Hendrik Simangunsong, Indonesia (RSC 1 ), and Markus Beyer ( 19:9 ) and a semi-final defeat against Alfredo Duvergel, Cuba ( 28:19 ), the bronze medal in the light middleweight ( to 71 kg). At the World Championships the following year he won the silver medal, which he, inter alia, Give HIKAL Mohamed, Egypt ( RSC 4 ), suggested, however, struck again in the final Duvergel had ( 9:7 ).
