Yétis du Mont-Blanc

The Yetis du Mont- Blanc (official name: Hockey Club du Pays du Mont Blance - Entente Saint-Gervais/Megève, short form: Hockey Club Mont- Blanc ) is a French ice hockey team from Combloux, which was founded in 1986. The team plays in the season 2011/ 12 in Division 1

Play their home games from the club in both the 1,280 -seat Patinoire de Saint- Gervais and in Patinoire de Megeve, which has a capacity of 2,900 seats.

History

The current club was created from a fusion of Boucs de Megeve, French champion in 1984, and the Sporting Hockey Club Saint Gervais. The latter had won in 1969, 1974, 1975, 1983, 1985 and 1986, the national championship.

First, the newly founded association " Aigles du Mont- Blanc " called (German: Adler Mont- Blanc) and took from 1986 to 1989 at three seasons of first-class 1A National part. 1987 and 1988 the team was here for the first time after the merger again French champion.

As of 2002, the club played in the second division, before following in the Ligue Magnus after winning the title in Division 1 for the 2005/06 season under the team name Avalanche du Mont- Blanc ascent. After the season 2010/11 from the club was relegated to the second-class Division 1.

As of 2010 the club nicknamed " Avalanche Mont- Blanc " sets ( German: Avalanche Mont- Blanc ) in favor of the " Yeti du Mont- Blanc ".
