Yevhen Bulanchyk

Yevgeny Bulantschik (in Russian Евгений Буланчик; born April 3, 1922 in Horlivka ) is a former Ukrainian hurdler, who took for the Soviet Union. It was 1954 European Champion on the 110- meter track.

At the European Athletics Championships in Brussels in 1950, he won his heat in 14.8 seconds. In the final he finished sixth and last in 15.2 seconds. In Helsinki in the 1952 Olympics he reached the final as the only Europeans and was 14.5 seconds in fourth behind three Americans; The winner was Harrison Dillard in 13.7 seconds. 1954 at the European Championships in Bern, he won in 14.4 seconds before the British Jack Parker and the German Berthold stone.

From 1948 to 1955 he was eight successive Soviet masters. In 1952, he presented with 14.1 seconds on his best time.

Yevgeny Bulantschik was 1.84 m tall and weighed in his playing days 80 kg.
