Yevhen Shakhov (footballer born 1962)

Yevhen Schachow (Ukrainian Евген Шахов, Russian Евгений Сергеевич Шахов, English transcription. Yevhen Shakhov; born July 6, 1962 in Zaporizhia, Ukrainian SSR, Soviet Union ) is a former Soviet- Ukrainian football player and current coach.

Career

About the clubs Metalurh Zaporizhia, SKA Odessa Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk and Yevgeny Schachow came in December 1989 in the Bundesliga for 1.FC Kaiserslautern as a beacon of hope in a relegation battle. However, the expectations he could not meet and went five games without a goal back to Dnipropetrovsk. Then he played for various clubs in Israel. There also began his coaching career. In 2005 he returned to Ukraine. Since 2008 he has been an assistant coach at Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk.
