Yılmaz Erdoğan

Yılmaz Erdoğan (* November 4, 1967 in Hakkari ) is a Turkish actor of Kurdish origin. He is married to actress Belcim Bilgin and has a son.

Life

Born in Hakkari, Yılmaz Erdoğan grew up in Ankara. After school, he began a study of the construction industry İstanbul Teknik Üniversitesi at which he broke off to go to the theater. He played his first major role among Ferhan Şensoy in Nöbetçi Tiyatrosu. He later wrote skits for the satirical program of Levent KIRCA, olacak O Kadar. His first TV series he made with the Turkish state broadcaster TRT.

The first theater piece Gereği Düşünüldü was so successful that soon after appearances followed in popular songs like Haşlama Taşlama and Kadınlık Bizde Kalsin.

Later, Erdoğan established the Beşiktaş Kültür Merkezi. There, he wrote and performed his most famous and successful theater series called Bir Demet Tiyatro. Further works are Otogargara and Cebimdeki Kelimeler.

Vizontele was his first success as a film director and actor. Circumstances of a remote village in the province of Hakkari be humorous illustrated therein. The film is set in the 70s and speaks different topics of the former Turkey: the living conditions of the rural community and the introduction of television, bringing the downfall of Turkish cinema was connected.

His film Krumme things on the Bosphorus ( Organize Isler ) who successfully arrived in Turkey and in Europe in 2005, to the movies, is about how organized crime and petty criminals affect the lives of innocent citizens, in the positive and in the negative sense.

Yılmaz Erdoğan writes besides plays and film manuscripts and poems. From his first marriage he has a daughter.

Yilmaz Erdogan's elder brother Mustafa Erdoğan is the artistic director of the dance project Fire of Anatolia and married to Turkish singer Gülben Ergen.
