Ylva Nowén
Ylva Hjørdis nowen ( born January 5, 1970 in Ostersund, Sweden) is a former Swedish alpine skier. It belonged for many years the most successful ski racers in the slalom and giant slalom.
Career
Ylva nowen considered rather as a late starter, because their first podium in the World Cup celebrated as 26 -year-old with the 2nd place in the parallel race of Tignes in October 1997 Remarkable:. Every four World Cup victories celebrated in the 1997/1998 season, and every four in a row: that's still not many slalom skiers succeeded.
At the Olympic Games in 2002 in Salt Lake City, she took the 4th place in the slalom ( just behind Anja Parson ) and giant slalom the 7th Place. The victory in the slalom World Cup in 1998 was their biggest success. Following the 2001/2002 season she stepped back from the World Cup due to a pregnancy.
