Yoichiro Kakitani

Yoichiro Kakitani (Japanese柿 谷 曜 一 ​​朗, Kakitani Yoichiro; born January 3, 1990 in Osaka, Japan) is a Japanese football player. He currently plays for the J- League club Cerezo Osaka.

In 2006 Kakitani won with the Japanese U- 17 National Team U-17 AFC Asian Cup and was selected with four goals most valuable player of the tournament. In 2007 he took part in the U17 World Cup in South Korea, and scored two goals in three games. He also drew attention to himself at the 2007 Under-17 World Cup with a goal from 50 meters away. Kakitani has been a professional contract with Cerezo Osaka and was nominated for the AFC Youth Player of the Year 2006.
