Yoshihiro Tajiri

Yoshihiro Tajiri (Japanese田 尻 义 博, Yoshihiro Tajiri, born September 29, 1970 in Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan), better known as Tajiri, is a Japanese wrestler, very well known in the United States with performances in Extreme Championship Wrestling and World Wrestling Entertainment. Currently, he is on his own request, active in Japan.

Career

Japan and ECW

Tajiri made ​​his debut in the late 1980s in the IWA Japan and was subsequently active for the Japanese division of the Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre. In 1997 he left CMLL and joined for Big Japan Pro Wrestling in Tokyo. 1997 followed by a brief appearance in the WWF, which preceded his debut with Extreme Championship Wrestling in December 1998. In the ECW Tajiri had long feuds with Super Crazy, Little Guido and Jerry Lynn and won two titles.

WWF / WWE

2001 ECW was taken over by the WWF, where Tajiri got a contract with the WWF. On 24 May 2001, he debuted in the WWF Smackdown roster. His first title was won by the Japanese after a victory over Chris Kanyon that the WCW United States Championship which he won. After only a short time as a title reign, he lost the belt to Rhyno. In his native Japan, he made his comeback as a wrestler for HUSTLE and is currently working for All Japan Pro Wrestling.
