Yoshiyuki Miyake

Yoshiyuki Miyake (Japanese三 宅 义 行, Yoshiyuki Miyake, born September 30, 1945 in Murata, Shibata District, Miyagi Prefecture) is a former Japanese weightlifter.

Career

Yoshiyuki Miyake is the younger brother by six years of the Olympic champion and multiple world champion in weightlifting Yoshinobu Miyake. Inspired by his brother, he also began weightlifting. He was very similar in stature, appearance and body weight and his brother started like this first bantamweight and featherweight then (at that time to 56 or 60 kg body weight). In 1964, he finished in the Japanese rankings with 315 kg Bantamweight the 6th Place. From 1964, however, he developed very quickly and in 1965 won his first World Championship medal. His greatest successes were the victories in the World Championships 1969 in Berlin and 1971 in Lima each featherweight / all-around, and it may additionally three times world champion in the individual disciplines, press, snatch and jerk in 1971.

Yoshiyuki Miyake is now businessman in Tokyo.
