You Do not Have to Die is an American documentary from the year 1988.

Action

Jason Gaes is six years old and suffering from Burkitt 's lymphoma. Jason is brought to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. By the time he is there, the tumor caused by the cancer has grown rapidly. The boy tells about his chemotherapy and surgical procedures, which led to his recovery. About his experience Jason is writing a book, which is provided by his older brother Adam and his twin brother Tim with illustrations. With this book, Jason wants to give other children with cancer confidence.
