History

From 2004 to 2008 Eric Cannata, François Comtois, and Jason Burger were added during Massoudi and Farmer got out. Even while they went to different high schools and colleges, they took with producer Ian Kirkpatrick on ( Neon Trees, Plain White T's ) their first EP namenes Shake My Hand and paused their respective training to focus on the music. Shortly before the band signed to Roadrunner Records in 2009, left the band keyboardist Ehson Hashemian. In December of the same year, they announced the name change to Young the Giant.
