Younoussi Touré

Younoussi Touré ( born January 1, 1941 in Niadougou, Circle Niafunké ) is a Malian politician.

Biography

After attending school in Niafunké 1947 to 1953, the Sudanese Craft School ( Ecole des artisans soudanais ) to 1955 and the Ecole Normale of Sévaré ( 1956-1960 ) and the Ecole Normale of Katibougou to 1962, he finished his education in 1964 at the Lycée Askia Mohamed. Following this, he first studied at the Université Cheikh Anta Diop de Dakar and the Technical School of the Banque de France, where he graduated with a diploma degree in economics.

After his return to Mali 1970 he was an employee of the Malian central bank, in which he eventually rose to the 1983-1984 General. After the return of his native country in the monetary system of the West African CFA franc in 1984, he was National Director of the West African Central Bank ( Banque Centrale des Etats de l' Afrique de l' Ouest ) ( BCEAO ).

On 9 June 1992, he was appointed as the successor of Soumana Sacko by President Alpha Oumar Konaré Prime Minister and held that post until his resignation on April 12, 1993 around ten months and then was the former director of the School of Administration ENA Abdoulaye Sékou Sow replaced. After that, he was between 1993 and 1995 Special Adviser to the President of the BCEAO.

On 30 January 1995 he was a member of the six-member Commission was founded in 1994 West African Economic and Monetary Union ( UEMOA ) and held that office until 2003. Middle of 2003, he was next to the long-time Minister Soumaïla Cissé of the founders of the party Union pour la République et la Démocratie ( URD ) and has been its president since Cissé this office may not exercise because of his position as President of the Commission of the UEMOA. In the local elections on 30 May 2004 he was UDR already reached 14 percent of the vote.

In the elections to the National Assembly, he was elected next twelve other politicians in the 1st round on 1 July 2007 on the list of urd for the constituency Niafunké to deputies. In the constitution of the National Assembly in September 2007, he was elected First Deputy Speaker of Parliament and thus to direct representatives of Parliament President Dioncounda Traoré.

For his political services, he was appointed Grand Officer of the National Order of Mali ( Ordre National du Mali ) and appointed an Officer of the French Legion of Honor ( Légion d' Honneur Française ).
