Youssef Rossi

Youssef Rossi (Arabic يوسف روسي; born June 28, 1973 in Casablanca, Morocco ) is a former Moroccan football player.

Club career

In 1994, Rossi wrote at age 21 a contract with the Moroccan professional club Raja Casablanca. This then dominated the Moroccan football, so Rossi 1996, the league and cup victory in 1997 and celebrated the championship again. In the same year the club won the African Champions League. After winning the title Rossi saw his opportunity abroad and signed a contract with the French first division club Stade Rennes. There he formed with Eddy Capron 's central defense. However, he was replaced by Lamine Diatta and Julien Escudé from the starting line in 1999. He ran on a single time for the first team and only came up with two inserts for the reserve. Then he decided during the winter break of the 1999/2000 season to move to Nijmegen. There, too, he came only to four bets, after which he went to Dunfermline Athletic in the summer of 2000. At first, he still enjoyed the confidence of his coach, Jimmy Calderwood, but which he pissed away by poor performance. So he came in the 2002/03 season, not a single application, but was not allowed to leave the club. In 2003 he went back to Raja Casablanca, with which he was again in 2004 Moroccan champion. 2005 Rossi eventually moved to Qatar for Al -Khor SC and let end his career. After his career in late 2008, he worked for Raja Casablanca as technical director.

National

For Morocco, Rossi took part in the 1998 World Cup. He ran in all three group matches for his team.
