Ytyk-Kyuyol

Ytyk - Kjujol (Russian Ытык - Кюёль; Yakut Ытык - Күөл, unofficially also Таатта / Taatta ) is a village ( selo ) in the Republic of Sakha ( Yakutia) with 6828 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010 ).

Geography

The settlement is located in the eastern part of the Mitteljakutischen lowlands, some 200 kilometers due east of the Republic capital Yakutsk, on the left Aldan Creek Tatta.

Ytyk - Kjujol is the administrative center of Ulus ( Rajons ) Tattinski. As the entire Ulus is mainly occupied by the Yakuts place; their proportion of the population is over 95%.

History

Named The Yakut village, after the nearby on the same lake Tatta (translated " Holy Lake " ), in 1930 the administrative seat of the newly established Rajons Alexejewski. In 1990, the Rajon its current name, derived from the name of the river.

Repeatedly it comes in Ytyk - Kjujol to severe flooding, most recently in 2007, when 853 houses in the village were flooded and had to be evacuated more than 3,000 residents.

Ytyk - Kjujol is the center of an agricultural region with predominant livestock (cattle and horses), along with the cultivation of potatoes, vegetables and forage crops, and forestry.

The village lies on the highway M56, which emerged in this section of the highway Kolyma and the Republic capital Yakutsk with Magadan, Magadan Oblast center of the adjacent links.
