Yuliya Gavrilova

Yulia Petrovna Gavrilova (Russian Юлия Петровна Гаврилова; born July 20, 1989 in Novosibirsk ) is a Russian saber fencer and three -time World Champion.

Achievements

2007 won Yulia Petrovna Gavrilova at the Junior European Championships in Poznan and at the Junior World Championships in Belek each silver with the saber team. In 2008, she became Junior European Team Champion in Prague and won at the Junior World Championships in Acireale bronze in the saber team. In 2009 she won silver at the European Championships in Plovdiv with the saber team at the Junior European Championships in Amsterdam and at the Junior World Championships in Belfast again bronze in the saber team. In 2010 she was in Paris with Dina Galiakbarowa, Sofia and Svetlana Welikaja Kormilizyna for the first time world champion team and won silver at the European Championships in Leipzig, in individual she finished eighth.

The Russian team consisting of Dina Galiakbarowa, Yulia Gavrilova, Sofya Welikaja and Yekaterina Diatschenko at the World Championships in Catania in 2011 won the gold medal. At the European Championships in Sheffield, the same team won the bronze medal behind Italy and Ukraine. Gavrilova won bronze in the saber each individual in both competitions.

2012 was the same team in Kiev team world champions and European champions in Legnano team in singles at the European Championships took Gavrilova seventh. At the Olympic Games in London, she was eliminated by Zhu Min, reaching the tenth place.

In 2013, she was in Zagreb team European champion and won at the World Championships in Budapest silver with the saber team.
