Yuri Fedotov

Yuri Viktorovich Fedotov (Russian Юрий Викторович Федотов; born December 14, 1947 in Saratov ) is a senior diplomat of the Russian Federation. In his career, he held several positions at the UN and was meanwhile Russian Deputy Foreign Minister and Ambassador to Algeria, India and most recently the UK. In July 2010 he was appointed by UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon as the successor to Antonio Maria Costa as the new head of the UN Office on Drugs and Crime ( UNODC).
