Yuri Landman
Yuri Landman ( born February 1, 1973 in Zwolle ) is a Dutch maker of musical instruments, guitarist, singer, and cartoonist.

Biography
As a cartoonist drew Landman two books and received the 1998 Art Prize of Breda. After self-study of the electric guitar Landman played in Zoppo (1997-2000), Avec -A ( 2004-2005).
For Liars invented Landman 2006 Moodswinger. The Mood Swinger is a third bridge guitar. Although the instrument is similar to an electric guitar, it is a flat board zither, since it has neither frets nor a neck. The Mood Swinger beside an additional third, movable bridge. Pickup and electronic components are common in the neck and not, as with guitars, in the corpus.
For Lee Ranaldo of Sonic Youth Landman invented 2007 Moon Lander. The Moon Lander is a double-decker E- Dronegitarre. The sympathetic strings are not taken directly to the blades, but vibrate at certain pitches with, thereby creating a specific sound. The electric guitar is also built with two stereophonic rotated pickups.
For Laura - Mary Carter ( Blood Red Shoes ) invented Landman 2008, the Springtime. The electric guitar is built with 3- stereophonic three rotated pickups and functioned simultaneously as an e- baritone guitar, electric guitar and electric bouzouki on three guitar amps. Landman had for Lou Barlow ( Dinosaur Jr.) and Mauro Pawlowski ( dEUS ) produces a Springtime.
Since 2009 he has organized workshops at festivals in Europe. , He plays with his Yuri Landman Ensemble and since 2012 he plays solo with experimental electronics and in the two- man band bismuth. In 2012, the album That's Right, Go Cats appeared, a collaboration with Jad Fair ( Half Japanese ) and Philippe Petit and the book Nice Noise, a textbook on prepared guitars.
