Yuri Lebedev

Yuri Vasilievich Lebedev (Russian Юрий Васильевич Лебедев; born May 1, 1951 in Moscow, Russian SFSR ) is a former Russian ice hockey player.

Career

During his career he played for Krylia Sovetov Moscow and HK CSKA Moscow. In all, he scored 181 goals in 473 games in the Soviet league. He was appointed to the team of the Soviet national ice hockey team. On September 6, 1972, he was in a game against Canada for the first time for the Sbornaja on the ice. His international career was crowned with the silver medal at the Olympic Winter Games 1980 ( Miracle on Ice). For the national team, he scored 25 goals in 127 internationals. On April 22, 1981 he played his last international match. In the season 1982/1983 he went to Germany for a year and played for Hamburger SV in the Bundesliga 2 single track. In 1974, he was inducted into the "Russian Hockey Hall of Fame".
