Yuriy Chervanyov

Yuri Nikolayevich Tscherwanjow (Russian Юрий Николаевич Черванёв, English transcription Yuriy Chervanyov, . Born January 15, 1958 in Baranovitchi ) is a former Soviet hurdler, who specializes in the 110-meter distance.

In 1980, he won the 60m hurdles at the Indoor Athletics Championships in Sindelfingen and was eighth at the Olympic Games in Moscow.

At the European Indoor Championships in 1981 in Grenoble, he was fifth on 50 m hurdles, and at the European Indoor Championships in Milan in 1982 he reached the final of the 60m hurdles not the goal.

In 1981 he became Soviet champion in the 110m hurdles outdoors in 1980 over 60m hurdles in the hall.
