Yury Sevidov

Yuri Alexandrovich Sewidow (Russian Юрий Александрович Севидов; born August 24, 1942 in Moscow, † February 11, 2010 in Marbella, Spain) was a Soviet football player and Russian sports commentator.

Biography

Sewidow was the son of the famous football coach Alexander Alexandrovich Sewidow. At the age of 17, he was 1959 player at Spartak Moscow and has been with the club in 1962 Soviet football champion and 1963 Cup Winners' Cup with a 2-0 win over Shakhtar Donetsk. In the season of 1962 he was elected by the newspaper " Trud " top scorer. In 146 games for Spartak Moscow, he scored a total of 71 gates.

In 1964 he was appointed to the national team of the Soviet Union for the qualification to the football tournament at the Summer Olympics in Tokyo in 1964.
