Yvan Lachaud

Yvan Lachaud ( born March 4, 1954 in Nîmes ) is a French politician. He was from 2002 to 2012 Member of the National Assembly.

Lachaud, the first was a professional school director, moved in 1995 to the City Council of Nîmes one. From 1998 to 2002 he was a member of the Regional Council of Languedoc -Roussillon. He was deputy to Jean -Paul Fournier, the mayor of Nîmes in 2001. In the parliamentary elections of 2002, he took up for the centrist UDF and moved into Parliament. In 2007 he joined the secession Nouveau Centre and was re-elected in the same year. In the 2012 elections, he took up again, failed in the second round but with 34.3 % of the Socialist Françoise Dumas, which reached 41.9 %. The right-wing extremists Julien Sanchez reached 23.8 %, which is in fact a majority of the rights existed, but did not materialize. Lachaud criticized this state in response to its defeat.
