Yves Fromion

Yves Fromion ( born September 15, 1941 in Vorly, Département Cher ) is a French politician. He is the National Assembly since 1997 deputy.

After finishing school attended Fromion 1961-1963 the Military School of Saint- Cyr. He then spent a year at the Cavalry School at Saumur. After he finished there, he was until 1973 a helicopter pilot in the Aviation légère de l' armée de Terre. By becoming an employee of the French Ministry of Defence in 1973, he joined the administration. In 1976 he went again into the active military and was a member of the 1er de régiment parachutistes d' infantry de marine. In 1978 he moved back to the maintenance and was sub-prefect in the Yonne department. Two years later he became the chief advisor to the prefect of police in Paris. Later he worked for the mayor of Paris Jacques Chirac. In 1983 he was elected Deputy Mayor of Charny. In regional elections in 1986, he was elected to the Regional Council of the Centre region. He was elected mayor of Aubigny -sur- Nere 1989. In the 1997 parliamentary elections, he drew a circle in the first election of the department of Cher of the Gaullists in the National Assembly. 2002, 2007 and 2012, he was re-elected. From 2002 he was a member of the UMP.
