Yves Mankel

Yves Mankel ( born November 12, 1970 in Gotha ) is a German luger.

Yves Mankel started his footballing career on the spit mountain railway in Friedrichroda. Together with his partner Thomas Rudolph, he won the silver medal in the men's doubles at the Olympic Winter Games in Albertville in 1992. In addition, both the Silbermedailie won at the 1991 World Championships in Winterberg. Together, the two athletes of the BSC Winterberg 1994 and 1996 German champions, to 1995, they won the third place. In addition, they were 1992 and 1996 respectively finished second overall at the Luge World Cup.
