Yvonne Printemps

Yvonne Printemps, native Yvonne Wigniolle, ( born July 25, 1894 in Ermont, France, † January 18, 1977 in Neuilly -sur -Seine, Paris, France) was a French soprano and actress.

Life

Yvonne Wigniolle made ​​his debut at age 12 in Paris revue theater La Cigale and occurred with 13 at the famous Folies Bergere. There they received for their charm and sunny mind the nickname " Printemps " (Spring). She quickly became a talented young star of French vaudeville and appeared with Maurice Chevalier and Mistinguett. In 1919, she married screenwriter and playwright Sacha Guitry, who wrote tailor-made roles for Yvonne Printemps.
