Zababa-shuma-iddin

Zababa - šuma - iddina ( 1157 BC), according to the Babylonian King List of the last Kassite ruler of Babylon before the Elamite invasion. He is not supported by any contemporary written records, so probably reigned only briefly. It is believed that he was not related to the preceding dynasty and the Elamite invasion under Šutruk - nahhunte, who was married with a daughter Meli- Šipaks, perhaps done in order to avenge the deposition of his relatives Marduk - apla - iddina I.. In a letter, now located in Berlin, calls him Šutruk - nahhunte the son of a Hittite, an abomination of Babylon, which sits to the detriment of Babylon on the throne.
