Zafer Biryol

Zafer Biryol ( born January 2, 1976 in Rize ) is a former Turkish football player. He was the highest scorer in the Turkish league season 2003/04. He is associated with this club and regarded as one of the major players in the club's history through his successful work for Konyaspor. With 43 ​​Erstligatoren for Konyaspor he is by far the most successful Erstligatorschütze the club's history. He is also the only Erstligatorschützenkönig the club's history.

Career

Club career

The striker began his career in 1996 when Beşiktaş Istanbul. There he spent three years as an amateur, and two years as a reserve player, and two years as a professional player. His last year at Göztepe was his most successful. In 30 games, he scored eight goals. In the summer of 2003, he moved to Konyaspor and was charged with 25 goals in 34 games top scorer in the Turkish Süper Lig 1 In the following season he was able to achieve 22 goals in 32 matches. 2005 he moved to Fenerbahçe Istanbul. After his contract was not extended to the end of the season he ended his active career as a professional footballer.

National team career

Biryol was appointed in 2003 as part of a friendly game against the second selection of the Scottish national team in the squad of the second selection of the Turkish national team, but did not in this encounter of use.

In 2004, he denied then five caps for the first selection, scoring one goal.
