The Zahlbach is about 1.3 km long right tributary to the south Mergbaches.

Course

The Zahlbach originates in the Middle Odenwald, south-west of Reichelsheim wholesale pools on the northeast slope of Heidelberges ( 321.7 m above sea level. NN ) near the junction of the road L 3399 of the federal highway 47 ( Nibelungenstraße ).

It first flows about 850 meters in an easterly direction through fields and meadows below the Gumpener Cross. Arriving at the southern edge of the local situation pools, the creek turns north and flows parallel to B 38 (urban Kriemhildenstraße ), cuts on the western outskirts of large pools the Lindenfelser way and ends just above the first farms of the upper small pools in the Mergbach.
