Zairean presidential election, 1984

The presidential election in Zaire in 1984 was a sham election in Zaire (now the Democratic Republic of Congo), which bore the name of Zaire at the time.

The former, dictatorial ruling President Mobutu Sese Seko of the Mouvement Populaire de la Révolution was the only candidate, and the election was conducted "Yes / No " vote for or against his presidency in the form of a. 99.16 % agreed under the terms of the dictatorship with "Yes".
